We're looking for a highly skilled CNC Setter/Operator specialising in Fixed-Head turning experience to join our growing manufacturing team. What you'll be doing
As an experienced Setter/Operator, you'll take ownership of the complete machining process, including:

Setting and operating Fixed-Head CNC lathes from engineering drawings & job pack documentation
Selecting tooling, fixtures and workholding to achieve the highest levels of accuracy and efficiency
Loading and proving out CNC programs, setting tool offsets and optimising machine performance
Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections to ensure components meet specification and GD&T requirements
Troubleshooting machining issues and adjusting to maintain quality and maximise productivity
Producing or modifying workholding where required
Performing routine machine maintenance and supporting TPM and 6S activities
Working closely with Programming, Engineering, Quality and Maintenance teams to continuously improve processes
Supporting and mentoring apprentices and less experienced colleagues where appropriate

Your profile

Knowledge & Skills required:

Proven experience as a Senior CNC Setter/Operator with CNC turning experience
Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling and workholding
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Willingness to work on challenging projects
A commitment to producing right-first-time quality
A proactive approach to continuous improvement, safety and housekeeping
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team
